We're pleased to announce that "Open Secret," a film Bret edited about the not-so-secret story of director Steve Lickteig's adoption, will premiere on Al Jazeera America tonight at 9PM EST.
Diving into the Delta
Despite living so close for so many years, we've never had a chance to explore the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, a maze of tidal waterways and agricultural islands that would be underwater if they weren't protected by earthen levees. Todd recently had a chance to spend some time out on the islands and on the water, and came away with this short piece for Greenpeace's "Postcards from Climate Change" series.
Freeing Willy
You probably remember the movie "Free Willy" ... but do you remember Keiko ... the whale who played Willy? We were just a few years too old to fully appreciate the phenomenon that was "Free Willy," but let's just say he had a complicated life that was every bit as dramatic as the film in which he starred. We were very fortunate to have been able to work on TIME's "One Dream" package commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington and of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech. It launched today, so have a look if you can.

It isn't often that you are able to sit in a room with living history. Bret was lucky to have that chance in his recent shoot for TIME's upcoming series commemorating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. Here's Harry Belafonte and Clarence B. Jones, who is the last of MLK's living advisers and one of the architects of the "I Have a Dream" speech.
