Here's what we're up to:

Freeing Willy

You probably remember the movie "Free Willy" ... but do you remember Keiko ... the whale who played Willy? We were just a few years too old to fully appreciate the phenomenon that was "Free Willy," but let's just say he had a complicated life that was every bit as dramatic as the film in which he starred. You can learn all about it in Bret's latest edit for Retro Report on the New York Times homepage this morning.

One Dream

We were very fortunate to have been able to work on TIME's "One Dream" package commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington and of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech. It launched today, so have a look if you can.

Party like it's 1999 ...

It's fascinating to revisit major news events where the collective memory of what really happened isn't quite on the mark. Remember Y2K? Was it really "much ado about nothing?" Watch Bret's latest Retro Report edit on the NYTimes homepage to find out.

Celebrating 50 years since the March on Washington

It isn't often that you are able to sit in a room with living history. Bret was lucky to have that chance in his recent shoot for TIME's upcoming series commemorating the 50th anniversary of the March on Washington. Here's Harry Belafonte and Clarence B. Jones, who is the last of MLK's living advisers and one of the architects of the "I Have a Dream" speech.
